"At Electric Dog we act as Digital Companions for senior executives on their journey to explain, coach and create a personal and professional brand strategy. We also act as Digital Companions, or Digital Non Executive Directors, to organisations who need an experienced resource to advise on strategy, offer regular context setting updates, make connections in the technology or funding industry, on their journey to transform their organisation for the new business models of the digital economy."
Recognizing that most senior executives have not had the time to master digital technology, social media or information competence in context of an “online brand”, Electric dog acts as a digital companion able to explain, coach and create a personal and professional branding and digital strategy required.
It all starts with listening to the executive about who they are, what they are trying to achieve, what are their passions and where they are on their digital journey. From this base level a series of coaching sessions is then designed for the executive both hands on with the tools, creating a content strategy and helping to nudge, prompt and inspire action and follow up.
This can be done as part of a corporate program, where an organization has identified a number of “Social Champions/Executives” it feels it needs to have a better online profile and presence, or on a one off basis. Electric Dog can also help in the process of identifying who are the best executives to be social champions through the use of online profiling and mindset tests.
With lots of talk of digital disruption, turning business models on their heads, customers being in the driving seat, talk of forming newco’s with start ups while maintain the cash cows, Electric Dog can do some context setting and then help as a trusted companion in the creation of a digital, social and customer strategy for the future.
At Electric Dog we draw from experience of having worked in the technology industry for over 30 years, both from a corporate technology brand perspective (companies such as Oracle, SAS and NCR) and a tech start up perspective.
We have worked across many different sectors and also work closely with the Leading Edge Forum a Global Research and Insight group. Although a membership organization we can work with the LEF on where an advisory offering, such as mapping, or research insights might be appropriate.
As an extension of our Digital and Social Strategy service, for some companies the opportunity to have a “digital” non executive director on their board is attractive as a regular companion who can advise, offer regular context setting updates, has the industry contacts, to help steer the company in the new digital economy.
As its still so much about who you know, or rather who you trust as well as know, at Electric Dog our networks go deep into both the technology industry and the investment/VC sector. We would aim to find the right DNED for an organization through our contacts or partner networks
